Meet The Team

The President - Steven Taga Mapepa (Steve Taga)

Alumni of: IUPUI – Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis now IUI – Indiana University Indianapolis in the USA. Graduate with two Degrees from the same University in the school of Liberal Arts/General Studies.

 

  • Alumni of Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka Zambia. Graduate from the Department of Education. Educator in Music Education and Teacher of the English Language.
  • Graduate  with Pioneering Recognition in planting schools and Trainer in Christian Arts at Creare school of Music, Drama, Dance, & Art in Bloemfontein, Orange Free State in South Africa.
  • Musician and recording artiste with two produced Albums entitled: “Thank You”, and “Destiny “ and Currently working on the third album of African native indigenous Music.
  • Author of three published books entitled: “The Divine Encounter”, “Divine Inspirations”, and “Divine Revelation and Manifestations”.

 

Served as:

  • Lecturer at Solwezi College of Education previously known as Solwezi Teachers’ Training College.
  • National Arts Council of Zambia Music Adjudicator.
  • National Arts Council of Zambian.
  • Conflict Resolution Chairman.
  • National Vice President of the Zambia Association of Musicians.
  • Provincial Arts Advisory Committee Chairman for Northwestern Province of Zambia.
  • Founder of the Taga Academy of All Arts.
  • Trained Chaplain in Clinical Pastoral Education. Graduated at IU North, Carmel, Indiana and Marketplace Chaplaincy training in Plano Texas. Served in the ZAIN Chaplaincy department before ascending to Presidency.
  • Ordained Minister and currently serving on tha Pastroral board of Liberty Tabernacle led by Senior Pastor Brian Lane.
  • ⁠NB: Creare school of Music, Drama, Dance and Art and Bible school.

The president supports and sustains the work of ZAIN, and provides governance leadership and strategic fundraising support. The President provides oversight and exercises executive authority over the running of the affairs of the association in its service to the community.

Vice President /Acting Secretary - Peter Mulenga

The vice president supports the president in executing the duties of that office and provides leadership to ZAIN in the absence of the president. The vice president has signatory privileges to the ZAIN financial accounts.

Treasurer - Wime Chipango Kumwenda

The treasurer manages ZAIN's financial assets and other physical assets and is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are conducted in compliance with ZAIN’s policies. In addition, the treasurer leads ZAIN in developing the annual budget for approval by the executive committee and ensuring that expenses are within budget guidelines. The treasurer also oversees any financial audits of the organization and ensuring that ZAIN reports its financial activities to the Internal Revenue Services every year by the deadline. The treasurer has signatory privileges to the ZAIN financial accounts.

Events Coordinator - John Elekani

The community events chairpersons are responsible for planning and coordinating all ZAIN related community events. Their responsibilities including venue identification and budget development for community events
